Emotions

It's being a long time. Don't know why it took me so long to turn back to this page but anyway.

Emotion - The creep strain occurring at a diminishing rate.

This post is all for the emotions. Comes from no where and suddenly pour you with joy and sorrow.

It's been 18 months for me out of my place. I know this is not a very long time and it really passed by very well. Suddenly i started thinking that how far i am from my native place and went in to abyss. Check the Google earth and realized that i am on the other side of the planet. Thoughts started stacking up in my mind and suddenly i find myself somewhere in third world. When such thought fills up your mind you don't care what were you doing, whom you were talking to and even you don't realize that you are in between a business meeting. Suddenly a caring attitude surrounds you and you start calling everybody at home, friends and show that you care 'em most.

Such thought adds up frustration in your routine. You start checking flight schedule. Refrain yourself from anything. Try to be isolated.

I am in such a mood today.

Let's see what a coffee will do.

Now It's Rita

Earlier it was Katrina. When i headed towards New Orleans i never thought of that this city will be drown after a month. When i took the city tour guide showed me the drainage system which they built with cost 30 million USD and it never used. I said i hope you won’t need it ever. Whatever places he showed us he moreover emphasize on that “this city is 6 feet below than the sea level” and i always thought why he repeats this always, but after Katrina I got to know that how important that line was and why this feeling made him scared every time he blurt that line out.

I also tried hard to involved in the company of my friends who visited to Galveston beach but due to some work i was not able to, but here i can say that i saved my track record and didn't visit one more place who is gonna be devastated after 3 days due to hurricane Rita.

Feeling really sad about it.

Creativity and Materialization

This thing always comes in my mind that how difficult it could be of posing your snapshot of mind in someone else’s mind and ask the beholder to do the same as you thought of. I think it's very difficult and i realize it when heard the song "Yeh jo desh hai tera".

A. R. Rehman is a genius and i can very well understand that rather putting his creativity in others mind and expecting the flawless productivity he could have given a thought and gave his vocal to this song of the movie "Swadesh" by his own and he really made a classic.

Same thing S. D. Burmen also did in so many songs, though he didn't know hindi well but he knew that he could be a better singer for his own composed songs. I like the bandini songs very much "O Re Majhi".

Here is one quote from my side "Materialize you creativity by your own if you are capable enough of doing that".

I've been listening

This song is in my playlist since last 21 days. when i saw this movie "Phir Millenge" i started liking this song. Music of this movie is really good and "Bhavatha Raja" really did well in "Jeene ke ishare". Bombay Jayashree is too good in this song and i really like her voice. I remember her from "Vaseegara", song of Tamil movie "Minnale". This movie was the original one of Hindi Remake "Rehna hai tere dil main" and the hindi song was "Zara Zara behkata hai mehkta hai aaj to...". Thanks Chitra & Anish who gave me the video of Vaseegara.

So here it goes ...

Khul Ke Muskurale Tu Dard Ko Sharmaney De
Boondon Ko Dhartee Par Saaz Ek Bajaney De

Hawayen Keh Rahee Hain, Aaja Jhoolein Zara
Gagan Ke Gaal Ko Chal Jakey Choolein Zara
Utaar Gham Ke Mozey, Zamein Ko Gungunaney De
Kankaron Ko Talwon Main Gudgudee Machaney De

Jheel Ek Aadat Hai, Tujhmey Hee To Rehtee Hai
Aur Nadee Shararat Hai, Terey Sang Behtee Hai
Har Lehar Yeh Kehtee Hai, Khud Ko Jhoom Janey De
Zindagi Ko Aaj Naya Geet Koi Ganey De

Bansuree Ki Khidkyon Pe Sur Yeh Kyon Thithaktey Hain
Ankh Key Samander Kyon Bewajeh Chalaktey Hain
Titlyan Yeh Kehtee Hain Ab Basant Aaney De
Jungalon Ke Mausam Ko Bastiyon Mein Chaney De.

Khul Ke Muskuraley...Saaz Ek Bajaney De

Listening again :-)

Timon and Pumbaa

It was Sunday afternoon and I was feeling sleepy... and i hear the cartoon voice "Hey guyyyyyyyyyyys what are you doing hereeeeeeeeeee..?". I opened up my eyes and had an eye on my TV... saw that two little guys were asking this question to Timon (Who is a meerkat) who was relaxing on a pool chair in sunney afternoon near to pool and his good old friend Pumbaa (a warthog) was very much with him on the same course but without a pool chair... ( as you know how clever Timon is... and of course he realized to Pumbaa that pool chair is not a good idea to relax on ).....

Timon got really angry on both the guys and here was the answer... :-)

Hey listen ( Timon was really angry just imagine ) my name is NAP (Timon's) and his name (Pumbaa's) is TAKING and together we are "TAKING a NAP" :-))))) he hee heee ... i die laughing... :-)...

luv Timon and Pumbaa :-)

A friend's mail

<-- start -->
Hi Friend !!

I know I have not been meeting your expectations (at least a mail and a daily hello). But please... believe me I am not the worst.

Days pass by .. and so goes the Life.....

Let me share a mail sent to me by a colleague of mine at Delhi University...

Dear Friend: It really gave me a sense of joy, and satisfaction that you are enjoying your stay at Princeton, a place which is nothing short of a holy place. The visit to such places is nothing short of Haj Yatra. On your return I am going to call you Haji ji. How elating it is to know and feel that these are the same lush green lawns and corridors where person like Einstein has walked. Please visit physics department and kiss the blackboard where Einstein used to write equations. Believe me if I am given a choice either to kiss cheeks of Madhuri Dixit or the black board used by Einstein, I would kiss that black board. I am sure your stay at Princeton will be fruitful academically, spiritually, intellectually and.......

Yes Amit.. I do agree with my Friend. It a pilgrimage.. visiting this place, believe me  I will also reject all sorts of offers from Aish orMadhuri or Bipasha Basu...or even Janiffer Lopez, if given a choice to touch them or touch the "black board".. on which Einstein deciphered his equations....I made a visit to the Physics Deptt. There is a separate museum to feel Einstein. I am happy to get a chance to be here....

<-- End -->

I know that it's not ethically make sense to post somebody’s mail on blogs but still i think such mails can be shared.

People are really doing good and so do i (trying to :-))..

OpenEEG

"OpenEEG is a system for getting data from your brain to your computer. Recently, work was resumed on scEEG, a soundcard-based system which may one day make home EEG systems very cheap (they currently cost a few hundred US$ to put together; there are, though, some potential cheaper alternatives). But, what research is being done into getting data from your computer to your brain? There have been some systems that inject optical signals into your eyes, but, what about direct neural interfacing? It seems EMF and light are one option; playing with neurotransmitters may be another. What do /.'ers foresee coming in this field? What research have you seen being done? Particularly, is any of this to the point where homemade, low-cost systems are feasible? Where can I find out how to inject signals into my head? Combining this with openEEG might lead to some exciting new levels of Internet addiction."

Kaath ka Ghoda,

This was the story in my syllabus when i was in 4th or in 5th standard. I was very influenced, not with the story but with the Horse (story writer emphasize on this because horse played a very important role) which has been built by the Sparta army to win The Troy.

Yesterday i was just matching the points what i am having in my mind from childhood days when watching the movie TROY.

Orlando Bloom and Eric Bana star as Paris and Hector, Princes of Troy. Achilles (Brad Pitt), believed to be the greatest warrior alive.

Hector’s older, wiser, and grounded. Paris is a wild playboy who acts without thinking. After a dinner celebrating peace between Sparta and Troy, Paris steals away with Helen (Diane Kruger), the most beautiful woman in the world and wife to Sparta’s King Menelaus (Brendan Gleeson). Honor dictates Menelaus must fight to get Helen back. Menelaus turns to his brother, Agamemnon, King of the Mycenaeans (Brian Cox), for support. The formidable armies controlled by Agamemnon are rallied to pursue Paris and Helen to Troy. Ruled by King Priam (Peter O’Toole), Troy has always been successfully defended from invading forces and is the one kingdom Agamemnon still longs to control. For love, lust, revenge, honor, pride - and greed - thousands will die and a city will be destroyed.

The Director made this movie to show the greatest warrior Achilles but i'll say that the main hero was that Horse.

I like the Dialogue...

Boy : The army is having the biggest guy on this earth. If i'll be at your place i won't fight with him.
Achilles : That's why no one remember you tomorrow.

I like the spirit.

Trying to be a South Indian :-)

Last month i changed my job and the new place was pretty far from my place where i was earlier. I was pretty frustrated driving 42Km daily to go to my office and come back. One of the guy from my team offered me to join him as they rented a pretty big accommodation near to the office, offer was pretty lucrative and i moved with them.

Now the story starts... I found four South Indian guys at that place (i should say palace though huh :-) ), it's a three bedroom duplex and pretty open that's why i didn't find it very cluttered.

I always found myself Odd man out since they people speak in Tamil so i decided to learn a bit Tamil... so here my Tamil goes... i made the first experiment on our maid.. and asked her ( Tea Pettivu - "Chai Bana Do" ) gotchaaaaaaaaa... she is a North Indian so she asked me Kya keh rahe ho??? Oh my GOD living with those guys i even unable to distinguish a North Indian.. neways that day i made up but the very next day i asked.. (Parantha Chessivu - "Parantha Bana Do" ) and she stared on me again?? Oh my GOD...

I said that day that no it won't be anymore.....

but what i am listening now... Oh My GOD "TAMIL SONGS" ... :-))

Time Vs Technology

When i learnt seven years ago how to work on computer i was pretty happy. In our institute we used to work on 486 systems with 16Mb of memory with a black monitor and OS was win 3.1.

We used to run the foxbase then and it was pretty fast too at that moment.. development environment was C and CPP and we used to work on TSR in C ( we thought at that moment that we are the only on who works on TSR huh.. everybody thinks like that in his early age ). Yeah so i think that i described whatever i was using at that moment and yeah moreover i was really happy that moment.

Time has changed a lot... we are now in 2004 i work in Java and Using an IDE called Eclipse 3.0 M9 build. As far as my machine configuration concern having a P4 - 2.8 GHz. - 1Gb RAM. Everybody would say that this one is a pretty decent configuration and if i go back in my past and ask the guy who was working then on 486 he might be scared after hearing this config.

But i am unhappy now.

We moved in next generation, changed hardware, work environment everything but still softwares sucks sometime. If you use the latest softwares it's not according to the hardware we have.. i think everybody trying to make the things which we can use in future only when we will be having 1THz Precessor, 100G RAM and some really high configuration.

Every java software is memory hogger at this moment and these one doesn't fit in to the config we are having in this genere. I hope we will try to make it proportional rather making it for future.
